Surgeon Simulator, as the very name states, is one of the best surgical simulation games on the market. Its developer Bossa Studios has announced that the game sold more than 2 million copies worldwide. This is probably the result of a huge discount on the game available at Steam. You are able to purchase the game 75% off today and 50% off until the end of the week. The same applies for the iOS version.

This is a historical success for a game that started out as a game jam and is now sold in more than 2 million copies throughout different platforms. This only shows that the team at Bossa Studios puts the player on first place tending to his needs while managing to create original and creative game features. If you still haven’t managed to pick up a scalpel and perform an open heart surgery, this is probably the right time to do that and take advantage of those ridiculous deals.

Some sites jokingly state that the game is so good that even real life doctors practice their skills on it. Surgeon Simulator is probably a rich man’s Operation digital adaption that we’ve all been waiting for since our childhood.

With more and more developers out there trying to revive classic board and video games from the 80s and 90s it seems like that has been the golden era of game innovations. Find a popular video game and remake it, sounds like a very secure business model these days. Just ask Square Enix.
