Don’t Starve developer considering a Vita version

After a very successful first year on Windows, Linux, Mac and a successful few days on PS4, Klei Entertainment are starting to consider a Vita version of the Indie survival game – Don’t Starve, and may release the game to other platforms in the future if the success continues.

“We’re investigating a proper Vita version [of Don’t Starve] at the moment, but we’re not quite sure yet,” said Rollins.

“Currently, a lot of people play Don’t Starve: Console Edition using the PS4′s remote play, and really enjoy it. So we’re looking into a proper Vita release,” he said, before revealing that mobile versions were also “on the radar”.

“As for iOS and mobile, that is something we’ve also been investigating and we think might work, but it’s not at the front of our development priorities right now. It’s still on our radar, though.”

Don’t Starve is the newest of the free monthly PS Plus games on PS4 and considering that the game is new and still contains quite a few bugs, it has became a hugely popular game with Indie game lovers and others who are into survival typed games.

Klei Entertainment also plan to release a new DLC ‘Reign of Giants’ however the release date is yet to be confirmed.
